How it all began

Our journey began in 2000 as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) specialist. Avo Avetisyan founded Lifetrans in Las Vegas, Nevada after finding success eight years earlier with PRN Ambulance, in Los Angeles, California. PRN Ambulance grew to become the largest Inter-Facility patient logistics provider in Southern California and harnessed the trust and confidence of some of the best names in healthcare including Kaiser Permanente, Cedars Sinai and UCLA. For Kaiser Permanente, PRN went from one of four providers to a single source provider who was entrusted with the transportation needs for their entire membership population in Los Angeles County.

Lifetrans Today

From its inception in 2007, Lifetrans has focused on Customer Service, Safety, and Service Reliability, catering to the patients and hospital staff who rely on Lifetrans throughout each transport. By focusing on customer satisfaction, Lifetrans set the stage for consistent growth throughout Southern Nevada and has become the area’s leading Non-Emergency Medical Transportation provider. In addition to the company’s dedication to the patients and healthcare customers it serves, Lifetrans stresses the positive impact of greater efficiency at every level of healthcare and promotes efficiency through tech-enhanced logistics solutions. Our innovations ensure caregivers are free to focus on vital tasks rather than scheduling transports, leaving the heavy logistics coordination, and planning to Lifetrans.

Since our inception, Lifetrans has remained committed to our mission of removing barriers for individuals attempting to access healthcare services.

Across each of our service lines, we work to achieve our mission while delivering responsible, cost-effective results to payers. Our approach is a constantly evolving model that allows us to provide customized solutions that cater to each payer’s unique needs. Our priorities are to:

Deliver Value to Payers

As budgets tighten and demand for healthcare and transportation services continues to rise, Lifetrans is committed to helping payers do more with less. We look for opportunities to provide cost savings to clients at every turn, starting by embracing the latest technology. Our proven processes and automated systems methodically root out fraud, waste, and abuse and ensure that only eligible members receive services.

Whenever a member requests service, we verify eligibility, receive authorization where necessary, and utilize an assessment process to verify the level of service required. Our goal is to provide the most cost-effective service that meets the needs of the individual, while ensuring that comprehensive, responsible decisions are made.

Utilize the Right Technology

Technology is the heart of Lifetrans operations, enabling us to automate processes, ensure adherence to protocols, reduce user error, and instantly access information. Our systems were developed specifically for our purposes by our team of experts, which allows us to make adjustments as needed. This system includes a series of web-based portals which allow payers, and members access to information, reports, and service requests. In our call centers, which are linked together to prevent down-time, we make use of the newest technology where appropriate, but work hard to provide a balance between automation and the human touch that our friendly Customer Care Representatives provide.

Demand Quality

Lifetrans strives to provide the highest level of service in our industry by demanding quality from each of our employees and equipment we utilize. Working diligently to recruit and retain reliable employees, Lifetrans provides an intensive training process and offers career paths and bonus programs to motivate and encourage retention. These committed team members help us achieve high customer satisfaction rates that passengers attribute to the payer. Regular audits, recorded calls, and surveys help us keep our fingers on the pulse of our business and ensure that we are proactive in our continuous improvement efforts.

Be Innovative

The Lifetrans culture promotes innovation and celebrates fresh ideas. It’s not enough to create a process that works; a commitment to continuous improvement and product development is what gives Lifetrans a competitive advantage. All of our employees, from the ground up, are empowered to come up with creative ideas that offer a new perspective and challenge traditional thinking. Lifetrans employees think outside the box to help our payers find solutions to their most complex problems. Even as we promote innovation within our workforce, we continue to invest in new and innovative technology, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation industry.
